I’m Kevin Thelwell, originally from New York City. I studied film in California at the New York Film Academy, where I learned to notice not just what’s happening in front of the lens, but when it matters most.

My approach to photography is centred on presence rather than performance. I don’t rush moments or over-direct — I create space, observe carefully, and let things unfold.

Keeping the experience simple and relaxed allows people to feel at ease, and that’s where the strongest images come from. Whether I’m photographing a portrait, an event, or a moment in motion, working together feels natural, fluid, and unforced.
